CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and respected name within the Real Estate & Construction industry, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team of professionals based in Limassol. The successful applicant will hold a minimum 3+ years of relevant experience as described below and speak an excellent level of fluent English.
Maintenance of the General Ledger, with emphasis on Vendors Ledger.
Processing vendors invoices.
Preparing payments for approval.
Preparation of payroll.
Assisting in preparation of VAT returns.
Ledger accounts reconciliation.
Liaison with the Group CFO and their team.
Have a minimum 3-4 years’ experience within a similar role in a retail company or experience from a Top Tier audit firm or experience in an accounting function.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and be a qualified accountant ACA / ACCA / CPA or, if not a qualified accountant, hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Finance related field.
Be able to understand accounting entries and follow appropriate accounting standards in recording transactions.
Possess advance skills in MS Excel
Have strong communication skills both verbal and written in English (Greek desired but not essential).
Have a strong attention to detail and developing initiatives for the continuous improvement of the business processes.
Be highly organised, motivated and a great team player.
Knowledge of Priority ERP System will be considered an advantage.
Advanced knowledge of VAT rules will be highly beneficial.
Prior experience in a finance role for a Construction company is highly desirable, but not essential.
