CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and respected provider of Audit & Accounting Services to clients in both Cyprus and Abroad, we are seeking to recruit an Auditor to join their expanding team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will perform independent audits of small & medium sized companies under the supervision of a Senior Auditor and/or an Audit Manager. You will ideally be working towards the ACCA/ACA Qualification and will possess a minimum of 2+ years of relevant Audit experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Contributes in the planning of the audit work.
  • Checks and prepares audit documentation.
  • Performs audit workings and tests to verify the validity, accuracy and completeness of the clients’ accounting information.
  • Carries out audit tests in accordance with the audit plan.
  • Conducts field work of internal control testing.
  • Identifies possible risks or errors in systems and controls.
  • Assists in advanced assurance engagements such as management reports, due diligence, financial information analysis and other.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Provides assistance in the preparation of all documents required for the audit: engagement letters, bank letters, company documentation and other confirmation letters as audit evidence.
  • Assists in the consultation of Junior Auditors.
  • Assists in the supervision of Junior Auditors.
  • Reports to Senior Auditors / Audit Managers.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • High School Diploma and/or University degree.
  • Working towards the completion of the ACCA/ICAEW/AIA papers will be a significant advantage; newly qualified candidates are also encouraged to apply.
  • 2+ years of relevant Audit experience is a must.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Very good knowledge of CaseWare Working Papers.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly (CaseWare Working Papers and WiseBos – AML & Time Sheets).
  • Very good knowledge of ISAs and IFRSs.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) in Greek & English.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Pleasant personality with a “can do” attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in meeting deadlines.
  • Highly motivated individual.
