CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, Eurolife, one of the Islands Leading Insurance Companies with headquarters in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Business Analyst to join their expanding team of professionals.
Promotes change through the identification / recommendation of innovative business solutions that meet the long-term business strategies and facilitate the continuous upgrade of customer experience through process re-engineering and /or application software development (ie integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; focusing on quality improvements and data management).
Evaluates and analyses the proposed solutions, assesses the limitations of these and explores ways of maximising their added value to the Company.
Liaises with software vendors, regarding system enhancements (new business requirements, parameterization), ensuring prompt and effective implementation.
Elicits and clearly documents business and systems requirements and presents these to business stakeholders in order to review and obtain sign off.
Participates in various stages of a project (i.e. assist the business owner to complete the Business Case; records functional requirements to be used for issuing an RFP; guides business users when writing test cases and testing scenarios; supports the change request process) with the aim of ensuring that the implementation of the project will satisfy business stakeholders’ need.
Carries out business analysis for IT Requests received from various business units, ensuring that these are clear for IT to implement.
Carries out system testing of IT deliverables and coordinates User Acceptance Testing performed by business users, ensuring high quality deliverables to production.
Acts as the liaison between IT and the Business stakeholders for all requirements submitted to IT and supports IT during implementation with any clarifications required.
Participates in the company’s core system parameterization team, ensuring timely delivery of the requested functionality in high quality.
Verifies and manages users’ access rights to the company’s software systems, ensuring that accesses correspond to their business role, aiming to protect the company’s data and to mitigate the risk of fraud.
Supports internal and external software application users, in relation to production issues and promotes swift and effective resolution of these issues, thus ensuring minimum impact to the business.
University Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or other related field.
Certification in Business Analysis or Project Management (eg IIBA) is considered an advantage.
3+ years’ experience working in a technical business analyst position.
2+ years’ experience working on IT applications.
Insurance related business knowledge will be considered an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication in both Greek & English.
Strong Presentation Skills.
Structured, Analytical and Critical Thinking.
Very good interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time, workload and multiple tasks.
Ability to take initiatives and make decisions.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
Knowledge in SQL, PL / SQL will be considered an advantage.
