CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, JCC Payment Systems, one of the Islands’ most respected Payment Solutions Providers with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a highly capable and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The COO shall have the primary responsibility for designing, implementing and leading the operational and digital transformation strategy of JCC Payment Systems in accordance with the strategic business plan and the operating and capital budgets of the Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and offering advice on the overall digital transformation agenda of the CEO as well as provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the people, processes and technologies within the company deliver outcomes that support the goals of the business.
Analyze market trends and developments in technology, service delivery and operational efficiencies and bring a bold vision to the Company for overall process, technology and digital transformation that can also include acquiring technologies, or investing in innovation and cooperation initiatives that add value, in cooperation with the Manager of Business Strategy.
Orchestrate, design and maintain an appropriate operations strategy that is aligned with and supports the long term business strategy and growth objectives of the company.
Establish and communicate the organisation's digital strategy and roadmap, developing it as an integrated part of the business strategy.
Spearhead strategic relationships and build networks of partners/vendors and technologies that provide complementary capabilities to drive the management and delivery of the digital agenda and roadmap of the Company.
Provide oversight and work closely with the Manager of IT to develop a strategy for delivering the relevant function services to the Company, in line with the defined IT Strategy, optimizing efficiency and enhancing integration with associated functions for end to end processes.
Guide the re-engineering of the Company's systems, processes and procedures in order to improve the efficiency of the operations, drive reduction of operating costs and ensure an agile service delivery model.
Lead the delivery of major change programs across the Company including the planning, development and delivery of digital transformation services and maintain an overview of the contribution of these programs to the organisational success.
Oversee the operational aspects of the JCC payment scheme management.
Ensure that robust data is available and that these data are explored to monitor business performance, support strategic decision making and enable business development.
Guide the establishment of a framework for the measurement of all processes and ensure the delivery of timely, accurate and complete reports.
Keep the CEO fully informed in a timely and candid manner regarding the achievement of its established goals and of all material deviations from the goals or objectives and policies.
As requested by the CEO/Board, attend meetings of the Board and its Committees and present the information necessary for the Board or such Committee in discharging their duties.
Combination of business and management expertise with proven leadership experience in the cards / payments industry – 10 years as a minimum.
Extensive experience in the practices, policies, and procedures of the payment and financial services industry – minimum of 15 years combined experience.
Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructures with emphasis on payment applications and infrastructures.
Demonstrable competency and experience in strategic planning, business and product development.
Masters level educational qualification or equivalent in operations management, operations science, information technology or related field.
Demonstrable experience of owning projects, change programs and processes in large organizations.
Very good understanding of business functions such as Finance and Marketing, with strong managerial and financial management skills.
Strong leadership skills as well as the ability to approach situations from a creative point of view – technically and commercially minded.
Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills.

Excellent working hours from 07:30 until 3:00pm from Monday to Friday.
