AML Officer
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a recently established CySEC Licensed Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit an AML Officer to join their expanding team of professionals.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Improve and implement internal KYC management and procedure comply with all key regulations.
  • Improve and implement customer risk rating criteria with KYC management and procedure for both consumer and corporate customer.
  • Enforce adherence to the principles of AML procedure and ensure standardization of execution within bank.
  • Ensure adherence to the AML, KYC management framework in identifying, controlling, monitoring and reporting.
  • Monitor closely on money laundering prevention guidelines and review all relevant reports.
  • Lead the team in ensuring money-laundering prevention requirements incorporated into procedures and communicated to unit staff.
  • Lead the team and work with compliance officer closely in visits and inspections by internal/external auditors and regulators.
  • Lead in the investigation of suspicious reports and financial crime risks.
  • Schedule and conduct inter-branch AML inspection.
  • Schedule and conduct training on anti-money laundering measures. 
  • Participate in creating compliance policies, procedures, controls and program documents related to compliance & anti-money laundering department and subsequent program updates.
  • Review KYC documentation pertaining to customer contracts.
  • Review, investigate and monitor suspicious transactions and high risk accounts.
  • Apply proper due diligence procedures to all customers.
  • Prepare response to anti-Money laundering and KYC questionnaires / requests received from regulator bodies.

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Educated to degree level in Finance/Law or related field.
  • Minimum of 1+ year of relevant experience in a similar capacity is essential.
  • Holder of the CySEC Advanced Diploma.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential; any other additional languages will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
